To guide students toward learning at their own pace and enjoy piano music for the rest of their lives. Lessons are times of exploration and through practice, technique and performance are important elements in piano instruction. My main goal is to teach a wellrounded musical curriculum that includes improvising, ear training, harmonization in addition to reading music and having fun.

Yvonne Payne is committed to the individual success of every serious piano student. Lessons are designed to meet the unique needs of each student and are planned to be both educational and enjoyable. Lessons are comprehensive and include a variety of instructional methods to teach theory, sight- reading, ear training, music history and appreciation. Repertoire is introduced that is appropriate for each student's proficiency level. Students are encouraged in the development of musical skills and in setting higher goals for achievement.
